Dave Thies has shot extensively with the MTV family of networks, including VH1’s “The Rock Life” as well as MTV’s “Blowin’ Up with Jamie Kennedy” and “Buzzin’.” After working with networks like Comedy Central, Discovery Channel, and Bravo, Thies eventually rose to directing both seasons six and seven of the hugely popular MTV show “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.”  Not relegated to a single genre, Thies has helmed successful productions in the worlds of music (Charlie Daniels’ “In America” music video and its behind-the-scenes “All Access” special for MTV), broadcast commercials (Visa airing during the Olympics), web series (DumbDumb’s “Always Open”), and the myriad television programs listed above.
